How to properly perform a plank: Place the forearms on the ground with the elbows aligned below the shoulders, and arms parallel to the body at about shoulder-width distance. YES! DO IT!🔥🔥🔥 I do a cup of black coffee☕ every morning right before i begin my fasted cardio heres why: 💪✔With glycogen (sugar) stores depleted from the night before, your body loses its primary source of fuel for burning while engaging in physical activity. Caffeine slows the depletion of glycogen by encouraging the body to use more fat as fuel! So you are burning fat as your primary source of energy! 👍✔As a stimulant, it helps give you a kick in the morning when you are feeling sleepy or slow, so that you can more vigorously attack your cardio workout!

I hope this has been helpful! And for anyone who took my advice to heart about doing fasted cardio and may be struggling, this not only should help results, but your motivation as well! Happy training! 🏋️‍♂️ #cardio

#TIPTUESDAY:  The ab wheel is one of those exercises where everyone seems to be able to pump out 50+ reps and still feel no burn. Drop the reps to 15 or less at a time and remember that as you contract up your torso actually needs to bend. If your torso is straight during these movements you’re going to be feeling a lot of it in your hips floors and not your abdominals. 
When wheeling back towards yourself, allow your back to round out as you draw your abs into your belly button (like the cat stretch yoga pose).

The Leg Press
In today's day your leg press PR is as relevant as the shake weights you use to buy out of curiousity with the intent of it being the perfect white elephant gift. 😂 Haha just kidding but with folks out there squatting insane numbers and achieving amazing physical feats is the leg press still useful? I'm going to say100% Yes, I'm fan of both free weights and machines and both can serve a variety of fitness goals and populations. Now with that being said my personal opinion is that every should be doing some sort of free weight or barbell squat, Its highly functional and super badass🔥✌. With the leg press we can utilize the ability to load it "heavy" and inflate our legs instead of our egos 🔥. Just like tempo squats you can perform tempo leg press. Here I perform a 3 second eccentric with 0 to little pause at the bottom and a 1 second push with 0 to little pause at the top. 3-0-1-0. This ⬆ the time under tension and allows you to reap full potential benefits.
When I perform this exercise I keep my feet slightly everted to ease tension on my knees and I make sure not to aggressively lock out at the top. I've seen some horrible incidents on social media.
Also during my workout decided to try a different variation the split squat using a versa hack squat machine! Had to work around positioning but I like it 😁. Okay and that is all.

#WorkoutTip for #Today: always evolve in your workouts, never think your #WeeklyRoutine has no room for change, it does. Also listen the voice in your head, it might know you better than you. As some of you might know from my recent posts I've been feeling my #abs aren't as tight as they could or should be. Then I wistfully thought back to the first month of my weight loss, when I was fat and #determined. Back then I'd #shadowbox for #cardio into the wee hours of the morning; doing hundreds of thousands of jabs a night. 
A couple days ago the voice in my head told me to try it to better carve out my midsection, so I did and had so much fun. Now, every night after my workout I've started doing 230 shadowboxing cuts and jabs and it's #fun as hell and feels great to be getting #backtomyroutes. My abs are defining better too. You can always and should always change your routine; doing the same workout always means getting the same results.

Anyhoo, because anyhow is boring and out of fashion, here’s a simple list of rules I came up with to lift by. I reckon if you follow these rules you’ll not do too badly. .
I didn’t put, "do exercises that you enjoy" because I’m assuming that you enjoy already, duh! Plus, if you always stay in our comfort zone you might miss out on some gainz.

Squats are Amazing 🙌 They should be in everyone’s workout plan. When running my long distance runs I was so thankful for squats because my gluteus kept me running up hard steep hills at the same pace, while others were walking. Squats burn fat and develop muscle mass faster than any other exercise. They strengthen your legs, glutes, back and knees. They help work the whole body and are my favorite compound exercise. Add squats to your workout. You won’t regret it!

@thenattypro has a great tip for how to make your squaring much more efficient , instead of scooping under the bar from 2-3 feet away , then setting your foot position , walk right up to it until the bar is right across your chest , then all you have to do is stand up , take a step back and have at it 😊 happy leg day!

🤕If your body's telling you to take a break but you're a gym rat, you can still go and let your body recover .
👇🏽Here's 3 ways you can go and still allow for recovery.

1️⃣ DROP THE WEIGHT- About 50-60% of what you'd normally do on your main lifts. 
2️⃣ DROP 1-2 SETS - Doing so will allow you to still lift similar weight but you won't be getting as much total volume in. 
3️⃣ DROP REPS FROM SETS - similar to # ✌🏽 If you drop 3-4 reps from each set your body won't be getting in as much total volume. (allowing for recovery)
