Capturing a selfie with my 🐫 bro who carried me all the way to the border of Morocco and Algeria to fall asleep under the stars in the Sahara desert. Thanks to my friends at @popsockets who always allow me to capture the perfect selfie, through 25 different countries and counting!
I must admit as a substitute teacher holiday breaks aren’t as awesome because you’re missing out on money! This workaholic doesn’t enjoy relaxing so I’m using this week to grind stuff out for The Social Studies Whisperer and work on a project for a new graphic design client. Hmmmm on the other hand I’m not behind on grading papers and I don’t have to do any lesson plans for next week so that’s a win🙌🏻. I dropped a huge spoiler on my story a few days ago about how that’s changing in early 2018🙀. Looking forward to tomorrow when my new laptop charger for my good laptop arrives because I left mine at the last school I subbed at (found out after that the custodians were at the school today) but that’s totally a first-world problem. I’ve gotten used to being gone during the day and I’m restless already!! I have drafted out 2 new products though and I am planning to actually bake something for a friendsgiving type thing tomorrow.
Spoiler for what Web Quest I’m working on now. Just found a really cool Civil Rights timeline on the JFK Presidential Library site! Trust me when I say the Presidential Libraries are a mega jackpot for Social Studies teachers!!! They are part of the @usnatarchives site! You can find this timeline at civilrights.jfklibrary.org! And you can hear The Office in the background😂😂😂. I forgot to mute the sound.
