HOLLYWOOD, SC (near Charleston): cute senior alert!! 👴🏻 Barney is a sturdy (approx. 50 lbs) little hound mix of some kind. He came to @HallieHillAnimalSanctuary as a stray years ago. He is 12 years old, going on 13. So sad that nobody has come for this sweet soul!! ☹️ He is shy and afraid of people at first, but if you are quiet and gentle and persistent, he will eventually come to trust you. My kind of dogs 🤓. Especially if you have treats- he is very food motivated. The guy loooooves food. He is completely blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other. He requires twice daily eye drops to lubricate his left eye. Barney is arthritic, but still moves around fine. He has never lived in a house. He does fine with other dogs. For more information and to apply to adopt Barney, visit halliehill.com/dog-adoption-application.
Hallie Hill is a sanctuary/shelter that welcomes dogs nobody else wants or dogs that were rescued by other who gave up on them. HH doesn’t leave any dog behind, but unfortunately they aren’t well known, despite the excellent work they do! I am so excited to give them exposure. They have many highly adoptable dogs who have been waiting a while (even years sometimes!). Please help spread the word! Follow them and share their doggies!

1. I was THAT horse girl in school
2. I grew up in New Hampshire + Massachusetts
3. Birks + socks are my go-to (try not to judge 😂) 4. One day I plan to have a farm with horses, cows, alpacas, pigs, goats (all pets of course)
5. I have asthma and Henry is always there encouraging me to live the life I want to live because life's too short not to. 🤙🏼
Can you give a temporary home to an animal in need this Thanksgiving?
We have many dogs in search of their forever homes. But while they await their lifelong companions, they need a loving family to temporary help care for them. Fosters are some of the best people as they open their home to an animal in need and give them love and help with training. They prepare the dog for their new life and get them ready to be adopted. We provide food, a wire crate, leash and collar for the dogs. They are up to date on all care and spayed/neutered.
We have many dogs that can fit in to many different situations. Though, a lot of the dogs that we have awaiting fosters are fantastic with children, but need to be the only dog in the home. If you have no other dogs, or a way to keep them separated that would be ideal.
Some of the dogs awaiting foster are a Blue Heeler, Blue Nose Pit Bull, Lab mix, Shepherd mix, Hound mix and many more. Please send us a message today if you can help! We are hoping to place all of these dogs in to fosters homes before thanksgiving this Thursday!
Greetings from Riann. Another angel saved by the officers of the 113th Precinct in Jamaica, Queens where she was found tied up, scared, and alone. We could tell by her condition that at only a young year old, this little lady has already had a litter of puppies in her past. This leaves us to believe that her so called “owner” didn’t need her anymore which adds another throw away mama to our list of residents here at NYBC. Riann is extremely outgoing. She is welcoming to people of all ages and always happy to meet someone new. She loves to be scratched behind her ears and overload you with tons of kisses.
