This is a regramm from @db_bookbinding_uk. I'm so pleased to have been awarded the Clothworkers guild 2nd prize for Dusk. It's still possible to see the exhibition at the St Brides Institute off Fleet Street in London.
After the definitive switchover from analog to digital television about three years ago, Luca Schenardi noticed some puzzling non sequiturs one day while viewing teletext. He then began perusing and photographing teletexts on various channels every day. Seized with a mania for collecting suchlike glitches, he transcribed them in black marker and tusche into self-made A5-size notebooks and illustrated his finds with sketches. To date he has filled twenty such notebooks, roughly eight hundred pages, with this peculiar collection.

“Passing the library, a sizeable section of the lawn was fenced off. A low temporary barrier had been pegged in place to enable the grass its forty-winks to regenerate. A kip to allow the new seed to take hold seemed just what I needed also. And there, atop the bed of sleeping grass, a kit of pigeons, a flock of gulls, and a quarrel of sparrows with no desire to call in on the old ballroom when they had such a prize. Safe, and in possession of a sheltered location, they basked in the warmth of the sun. The pigeons, in particular, puffed out and fanned their feathers to make the most of the solar heat. Their fans lent the scene an air of Sunday picnickers, an Eden for Birds Only, and I was glad I had chanced upon this moment that threw sunlight on my impression of the world. It was in these small and ephemeral shards that life made sense. All that was good, transfigured into form! It was in these quiet encounters that I was pierced and purpose was found.”
For our ‘Looped’ installation, turning the dome dais into an artists’ book, we have bound it together with a short story. You are welcome to collect a copy of this story, ‘A whisker of light’, in the form of a free A5 zine we have made. Copies are available at the dome dais, and we look forward to hearing what you think.

Looking forward to having @sternbergpress at DABF17! Dublin Art Book Fair opens today, Thursday 23rd and runs until Sunday 26th November, 2017.
Sternberg Press grew out of the small publishing house known as Lukas & Sternberg, founded in 1999 by Caroline Schneider. With a focus on art criticism, theory, fiction, and artists’ books, the Berlin-New York based publishing endeavor was set in motion with a pocket book series—edited in part with Nicolaus Schafhausen. Dedicated to an expanded notion of writing on art, Sternberg Press has created a formidable platform in which practitioners from the fields of art and culture (architecture, design, film, politics, literature, and philosophy) can engage in a critical discourse. Each book is a special object celebrating creative publishing at its best, based on both meticulous editorial decisions and distinctive design. Through both commissioned and translated works, Sternberg Press seeks out the blind spots within contemporary discourse and offers a timely response to the related debates.
Material Utopias - Louise Schouwenberg (Ed.) In the slipstream of conceptual art, the intimate interweaving of meaning and materialization in art and design came to be discredited in the second half of the twentieth century. The master’s program Material Utopias at the Sandberg Instituut put an end to this tradition by abolishing the unproductive hierarchy separating “concept” and “making,” “content” and “process.” In this publication, various authors reflect on the history of dematerialization and deskilling, the manifold meanings of materials in art and design, and the challenges for education when the innovative power of the artistic process is celebrated.
