Help one of my author friends out!! #Repost @nicolebaart
Have I told you how much I love my job? One of the highlights the past few weeks has been working with the lovely Nalana at @bookscents.
Nalana read LITTLE BROKEN THINGS and (get this) created several custom fragrances for a candle to complement the reading of the book. Yes, this is a thing, and yes, she is my people. Are you kidding me?!? A book-themed candle. Oh, I’m all in. In fact, I’m so far in it that I simply can’t pick my favorite and have enlisted Nalana’s help to choose the perfect scent. Well, turns out we’re *both* stuck (as in, we love two of the fragrances so much we have serious commitment issues—it’s true, we’re like the final episode of the Bachelorette). This, my friends, is where you come in. Want to help us choose? Come on, how could you say no?!? To sweeten the deal, I’ll pick one person in the comment section to receive a free book and candle when #LittleBrokenThings
releases in just over a month. The gratification might be a bit delayed, but you can feel joy in knowing that you helped us out of a serious (first world) conundrum. Ready? Here are your options:
1.EVERLEE - This blend of watery ozone, roses, jasmine, vanilla, and honey is pure innocence. It’s light and sweet with complex undertones that hint of the mystery surrounding the girl at the heart of LITTLE BROKEN THINGS.
2.KEY LAKE - As layered as the setting that inspired it, this candle is resplendent with cool water, orange, cashmere, jasmine, sandalwood, and oak moss. It will transport readers to provincial Key Lake, Minnesota—where nothing is quite as it seems.
Write your vote in the comments below! I’ll tally up the results and choose a random winner tomorrow. The best part? Even if you don’t win, you will be able to purchase one of these candles soon! And if you haven’t had a chance to check out Book Scents, I highly recommend that you do! Nalana’s creations are simply amazing. I’m partial to the Bloom candle—it’s out of this world! #candles #bookstagram #readingisanexperience #betransported
