Hello Toronto!
When I first started taking sunrise photos in the winter of 2014, I never imagined it would come to this—I was just out enjoying Mother Nature. This is why I'm so thrilled (how thrilled? \(^-^)/ thrilled!) to announce The First Light, an exhibit of my #TorontoSunriseSeriesByTaku! I am very grateful for @Lakeshoregrnds for inviting me to showcase my photos in their space within the lakeshore campus of Humber College.
.
It starts Wednesday December 6, at 6:30pm and I hope to see some of you there! If you can't make the day, the exhibit will be on until mid March 2018 so you will have plenty of time to visit.
.
The exhibition features some favourites of mine, of the Instagram community, and some that you may not have ever seen before. It's one thing to admire a photo on your phone, but it's truly something else to see it up close in print format.
.
Thank you all for your continued support in my photography—I'm always grateful for everyone who comments, likes, and messages me about my photos. I have been able to meet some fantastic people here on Instagram, and I hope to meet more of you on this day too.

Union Station is a major railway station and intermodal transportation hub in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on Front Street West, on the south side of the block bounded by Bay Street and York Street in downtown Toronto. The station building is owned by the City of Toronto, while the train shed and trackage is owned by the commuter rail operator GO Transit. Union Station has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada since 1975, and a Heritage Railway Station since 1989
Its central position in Canada's busiest inter-city rail service area, "The Corridor", as well as being the central hub of GO Transit's commuter rail service, makes Union Station the busiest transportation facility in Canada, serving over 250,000 passengers a day. More than half of all Canadian intercity passengers and 91% of all commuter train passengers travel through Union Station.
Intercity train services are provided at Union Station by Via Rail and Amtrak, while commuter rail services are operated by GO Transit. The station is also connected to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway and streetcar system via its namesake subway station. GO Transit's Union Station Bus Terminal, located across Bay Street from the station building, is connected via the trainshed. The Union Pearson Express train service to Toronto Pearson International Airport operates from a separate UP Express Union Station located along the SkyWalk a short walk west of the main station building.
Toronto's Union Station is at 61 Front Street West, between Bay and York Streets in Toronto's business district, with Toronto's entertainment district beginning across Bay Street. It is located roughly at the east-west centre of the city of Toronto. It is also close to Lake Ontario, which marks the southern boundary of Toronto. The southernmost part of the Gardiner Expressway, which lies between Union Station and Lake Ontario, provides easy core access to GO Transit buses. The columned façade and main entrance of Union Station faces north, towards downtown Toronto.
