St. George Marathon has my heart! Yesterday's race was very emotional for me. I have really looked forward to racing with @runningutah again and I knew I would find him in STG! Zac was there with me yesterday. I felt him during the moment of silence at the start. He kept me calm as I ran through the Veyo hills. He reminded me to look around and enjoy the beauty in Snow Canyon. Zac told me to push harder when I started to settle into comfortable. He encouraged me to smile through the pain all the way through the city. I choked back tears multiple times as I realized that my friend was still here.
And then, I ran toward the finish line. I heard my name. I heard Zac. I heard Zimmerman. My eyes teared up and I said a little "Thank you" to my friend. I thought I made it up. But, when I checked the results, there it was! These results are based on chip time, which means these two men had to start and finish at the same time as me. . .
Everything happens for a reason. I don't believe in coincidences! #livelikezac
