this is a very bad quality image that i had to edit one of my limbs out of so that i look wistful and not a like twat on my phone on top of a beautiful mountain but the reality is that i was so cold i couldn't feel any part of my body and i wanted a selfie on top of the rock before my hand froze off. 10/10 would freeze to death for the views.
As I am again backing my bags to leave the bear behind to practice yoga on end in another tropical country, I come to think about loving someone who is so very different from you. We are like ice and fire. Me, forever chasing volcanoes and palm trees, him yearning for the snow and a hearth. Today felt like a hard day but ending it with a view like this from our living room glass wall reminds us that we are doing pretty fucking well. As I am writing this halfway through my daily beach stroll, sitting on some neighbour's boat ramp and listening to the waves roll in , I'm watching the last light of the day wane away, asking the sun to take my worries with her and burn them away in her every fiery heart. Thank you mountain. Thank you sun. Thank you, little heart for being able to take it all in. #thankyouthankyouthankyou#kunanyi#iliveinasemicoldparadise
