Michelle Obama is the 44th First Lady of the United States and our first African-American First Lady. A lawyer, advocate, mother and wife - this former FLOTUS has been described as one of the greatest political communicators of our time, despite never running for elected office herself.
During her time in the White House, Michelle approached the Office of the First Lady with a focus on connecting to the American public with openness and inclusivity through digital and social platforms.
The mother of two has made it her mission to raise awareness of childhood obesity. In 2010, she launched the national Let’s Move campaign while in the White House and it has become her legacy as First Lady.
For her incredible service to the American people and for being a role model for women all over the world, Michelle Obama is this week’s #WCIW
