Good morning from Michigan! ✋🏻 I'll just be honest and say I'm not a fan of running outside when it is lower than 30 degrees so when I woke up to a real feel of 19 degrees I was just thrilled to run... But the truth is I'm exhausted from the weekend and wanted to sleep in a little longer plus I would rather do easy mileage outdoors anyway so I put on the layers and got moving. ❄️ 5 welcomed easy miles with some strides in the last mile to kick off this short work week! 🙌🏻 Have a great week, IG!
Run with your dog they said, 🐶 it will be fun they said!!! 😂😂 Second time this week that I have fallen while running with Scooby. Today was a little worse, got scratched up on my knee my elbow, and hands and the worst of all I cracked my entire phone screen.😭 (see story) I've been trying to run with him, because it helps me run easy (slower) while I'm recovering. Although I'm apparently getting injured in other areas LOL
Ugh I ended up taking him back home and then going out by myself. I'm not saying I'm giving up, but maybe I need to play it safe and stick to just walking with him for now. Lol Even though I was bleeding, I at least got in a few Sunday Runday miles!! This Session IPA was everything I love about an IPA without the high ABV. It was a great run day which called for a great beer. I pushed myself hard and ran the longest I have ever without stopping to walk. I have been feeling stressed about my pace for Dopey and while I still have some work to do this eased my mind some. If you get a chance to drop by Ever Grain Brewing I recommend you pick up this Session IPA. Well, I did something before work this morning—weight machines! I’ll admit, this is better than nothing... but I’m going to try body weight exercises next! 💪
If you’re following this page, I hope you realize that I post almost daily to keep track of what I’m doing for me... it’s almost like a journal! I really like going back and seeing what worked/didn’t work! I’m clarifying this so that you don’t think I’m crazy for posting specifics about workouts! 🙃

I confess: rest is hard for me. I find a lot of my happiness and worth in being busy, checking off boxes, being productive. Today and yesterday I chose rest and family time over exercise and even at 18 weeks pregnant with twins, I let my lack of exercise bug me.
Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself to “show up and play” when sometimes the best thing is to just stay out of the game. I’ve never been very good at relaxing, and this pregnancy has already tested me and will continue to as I get closer to my due date and then again when I’m juggling life with twins and a toddler.
Do you struggle with finding balance too? What is your favorite relaxation activity?
RUN DAY 122 - 3.1 miles of hills+32 degrees + 14 mph winds + extra layers of clothes + a smile = 21:47 time‼️ Between the cold and the hills, I seriously couldn’t feel my legs. But did I stop? No as that is a four letter word I have removed from my vocabulary. You know the saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!” Well, I am banking on it!😂😂😂💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻
